The school provides an unsusually full programme of activities outside the classroom which are integral to its educational philosophy. Through involvement in sports, expeditions, outdoor and humanitarian activities we believe that the students learn more about themselves. The development of self-confidence comes through team work, independent thinking and risk taking which are central to these activities and are vital, in our view, to the development of young people.

The school runs a wide range of clubs, from mountain biking through to cooking, from choir to yoga, French cinema to martial arts. These are usually run by a teacher or student and take place during the week. All students are expected to participate in a number of clubs each week.
